Letter from Donna Jordan
Dear Ruth and Philip,

Look forward to being with you. Do you realize April 1st is Easter Sunday? A friend may drive me, is it possible for her to have a place to sleep for the five nights? She’d like to come to the lectures too if possible.

They say that spring is just around the corner; but it’s still -2C here in Medicine Hat. Beautiful though, with the sun shining and thousands of Canada geese, that winter on our river ice, flying away each day to feed.

We want to thank you so much for your prayers, friendship and support. (2 Cor 9:6-15) We also pray for you and if you have any special prayer needs, please let us know.

Since the beginning of the new year I have been to speak in the Medical DTS in Kona, and then back to the DTS in Maui where I fell last year, in late October. I pulled muscles in my right arm and shoulder, but the way I fell, people are saying it’s a miracle a person of 'my age' didn’t fracture a bone. The discomfort continues but I have just started going to a Christian physiotherapist and I’m believing for complete healing. I sensed at the time the fall was an attack from the enemy, although I should have been more careful after a rain storm on Maui.

I have also being doing day and weekend retreats on 'Listening to God,’ with churches in the area. Friends are helping me to update the manual on listening to God that goes with the teaching. There seems to be such a hunger to listen to Him. It’s so simple and yet 'religiosity' and the enemy make it so difficult and complex. Just like in the garden of Eden the serpent said, “Did God really say?”

Even Mike Pence, the Vice President of the USA, is being told publically he is mental, because he said he hears from God. I sensed the Lord say to me, that the one thing the enemy hates most, is people being taught, through the Word and through experience, on how to recognize God’s voice. Please pray for me. I’ve been very encouraged lately as people from several nations who I have taught over the years, have written to tell me they are now teaching others.

In March I will be going to Korea, not to teach, but to pray with many from other nations for unity in North and South Korea. I love my Korean family. 110 years ago there was a massive revival in Pyongyang in the North, and it became known to missionaries as the 'Jerusalem of the East.’ Amazing story.

But a century years later, Christians in the North are routinely being tortured, raped, starved and executed. Did you know that dictator Kim Jong-un’s grandfather and great-grandfather were both wonderful Christians? What I’m sensing, as I go to Korea for 10 days is that we will be joining the great cloud of witnesses from Hebrews 12, praying that God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven.

I’ve been thinking, “Lord I’m going on 80 and it costs so much, physically and financially, to go.” But His wonderful response is, “Go, I will provide and I will show you great and wonderful things you know nothing about."

Peter is in a ‘maintaining’ mode as far as his congestive heart failure condition is concerned. It’s not easy for him being unable to fly, and sometimes he feels uncomfortable physically, but he walks a mile indoors everyday, and we pray together daily; he is a wonderful support to me. He continues to write, and pondering on what he’s going to write. God has been so faithful to us. Peter had cataract surgery this week on one eye and in April, the other. A few weeks ago I had a melanoma removed and the doctor believes he got it all. A report will come back in a few weeks.

We are so grateful for your love and prayers for us and our family. We'll send another report after I return from Korea at the end of March.

We love and appreciate you,

Peter and Donna
P.S. I’m looking for the first robin! Hmmmm. My grandfather always said, “That’s the first sign of spring!"
